Professional & Life Experience

I trained as a social worker in the Netherlands and began my career as a probation officer supporting ex-addicts and ex-offenders. Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple countries in roles that shaped my clinical perspective: hospitality in London and the U.S., teaching English to children in Seoul, and receiving early mindfulness training from a monk in Phuket. Having lived and worked in both Western and Asian cultures across seven countries, I bring a grounded, cross-cultural, and trauma-informed understanding of identity, transition, and belonging to my counselling work today.
